Its been a few days since I last posted anything. So here are some random thoughts from the week. NONE of which have to do with T.O. because I am tired of hearing about that garbage.
Big 10 showdown. Ohio State and Michigan fight for a chance to play in a BCS bowl, and perhaps a big 10 Championship IF they can get some help from Michigan State.......BAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You're better off asking Jessica Simpson for help with an algebraic equation than you are asking Michigan State for help with a victory. What an embarassing program that is, I can only hope that this is John L. Smith's final game as head coach, BRING BUD FOSTER TO EAST LANSING!!!!!! Penn St. will absolutely destroy the Spartans.
"We Ready" by Archie Eversole is the most underrated rap song of all time. I dont think that there is a song out there that can get you more amped........I told you these were random thoughts.
Ahman Green is complaining about not getting a contract extension with the Packers. Sorry Ahman, had you stayed healthy at all these last 2 years that might be a possibility, but since you havent, you arent getting any kind of new deal with the Pack. In 2003 he was one of the best backs in the game with over 1800 yards rushing, but he clearly isnt the same player, and there is no way in hell he is getting a big new deal after having missed most of the last 2 seasons. The Packers are more likely to re-sign Najeh Davenport as long as he doesnt drop any frozen logs in anybody's closet in the Winter time up in Green Bay.
Minority Coaches.....this is old news but the BAC released a report card for university athletic programs earlier this month. Notre Dame somehow got a B after they prematurely fired Ty Willingham to try and get Urban Meyer (and failed miserably), this confuses the hell out of me. Bottom line here, there are no Universities saying....hey, we're not going to hire this person because he's black, asian, hispanic etc......the best person for the job will be hired. If the argument is being made that black coaches need to be given more of a chance, then lets take a look at the 3 black head coaches in 1-A football. Ty Willingham is 2-8 at Washington, Sly Croom is 2-7 (currently trailing a 3-6 Arkansas team 41-3) at Mississippi State and Karl Dorrell is 9-1 at UCLA. Thats a combined record of 13-16, not counting the outcome of the Mississippi State game. Of those in the past, one african american head coach that comes to mind is Bobby Williams at Michigan State who completely lost control of his team. I'm not saying that black coaches aren't deserving, I'm just saying they shouldn't be hired over more deserving candidates just because of the BAC's pressure. The best candidate will be hired, white, blue, orange, purple or red.
